Beautiful Seeker Souls
After twenty years of being a student of Sri Chinmoy I was told a story I wish I had heard earlier about. Perhaps there was no need to hear it, but struggling with self-doubts from time to time due to some childhood experiences or God knows why it happens, I feel the story helps me and I thought it was worth to be retold. Another reason to retell the story might be that I am not an angel and the story gave me extra inspiration and consolation as well.
So here comes the story:
In 1986 Guru went on a trip with a group of disciples to visit Germany. On this trip he also visited former East Germany. I often heard the story that Guru and the disciples had problems at the border to get permission to enter the country and that the air was very thick and cloudy at that time but I never heard about an important detail -
Guru also meditated intensely at the border and told the disciples later that the soul of Sri Ramakrishna came to him and said that if the authorities would not allow him to pass the border than he was all ready to take human incarnation in former East Germany because there would be beautiful seeker souls living there!
On one hand I am very moved by Guru's experience, on the other hand I feel the need of fulfilling Sri Ramakrishna's so beautiful statement by striving to make better progress.
Guru was finally allowed to pass the border and the story goes that Sri Ramakrishna's soul came again and told Guru that now it was no longer necessary for him to incarnate in that country.
With warm feelings in my heart I am still thinking of Guru and Ramakrishna but it's hard to express any of my feelings with words. I remembered what Guru told us about Ramakrishna - that he who was Rama and he who was Krishna became Ramakrishna in one form (unofficial). Loving thoughts about those great souls alone gives me a kind of inner cry.
I searched the internet for a particular picture of Ramakrishna I had in mind remembering the book "The Gospel of Ramakrishna" that I read many years ago. Thanks to Tejvan I ended up at "Write Spirit" a spiritual site with lots of information about other spiritual Masters and world figures. (In English one might say that it's a great site!!! I sincerely don't know how Tejvan creates time to do all this work!!! Perhaps he has conquered sleep).
Back to Ramakrishna I feel humbled by the thought that this great spiritual Master who resides in some higher region not only knows us imperfect mortals but also knows how to say nice things about us not to speak of our own Master Sri Chinmoy!!!
May I become a beautiful seeker soul!

You are a very beautiful seeker-soul, Suchana. Why searching for any unknown Germans? You may have your reasons. I'd love to see some flying objects though! ;-) Many otherworldly beings seem to have incarnated on earth...
I am thinking of Guru very often and still miss him like many others, I am sure. His power was his love, wasn't it? May my receptivity increase. Like Mahiruha and Kamalakanta I am looking forward to celebrations, too!
P.S. Remembering your conversation with Beverly (#24599, I am always happy to hear from you, Beverly!)I felt sorry you can't see the sun set. Perhaps there is a way to make you see the sunset though if the building you live in is not too high and your window shows to the East. Place a mirror on a wall in the West of your room and just wait and see; when evening sets in the setting sun reflects in an opposite window of a building. You can even enjoy a "double sunset". It is quite a spectacle. :- )
Well, I don't know whether this is really helpful for you but it was the way I was able to enjoy a sunset. Now the Supreme blessed me with a tiny apartment in a village near Winterthur where nature just embraces me. If so is His Will we may one day walk together along the sun-flooded fields where outer peace breathes strongly. At least you are warmly invited.
P.P.S. Big city people seem to be much stronger than those who "escape" and seek inner and outer peace in nature. But what can I do? Here I just feel closer to God by living more consciously with the seasons.
Of course real peace is there where our hearts are. I am very happy to visit NY again in two weeks and hope to meet you.
P.P.P.S. I wholeheartedly agree with Alap and Kamalakanta (#24604 and #24603)
Dear Doris, I´ll keep on searching about these German owners, I just know they were older people in the 50´s and they moved to another province which looks like some areas of Germany or Switzerland. Those places still keep a sort of ¨mysticism¨ and tourism has developed there inviting people to get a little bit of relax or seeing unindentified flying objects.
But your sweeter heart-memories are so different than pure mysticism or meetings with aliens!
Your experiences are recalling me about the infinite power-compassion-light of Guru´s own realisation to feed our souls and entire beings with integral spirituality!
Thank you for sharing those precious moments!
Suchana
Dear Doris,
Your posting is taking me back to that year when Guru visited the border between Germany and Germany! Guru was smiling in many photos there!
This story is universal and has given me inspiration and consolation as any of Guru´s unique stories. He loved all Spiritual Masters deeply and honored Sri Ramakrishna in many ways. What a oneness!
Just a short story I have recently learned about: the very first owner of the land where my house is built was from Germany. Now how I´d wish to know from which border he was from! Maybe he was also a beautiful seeker soul!
Trying ¨Soulfully¨,
Suchana
PS: I agree with you, Tejvan´s site is extremely beautiful and it seems it´s becoming very popular too.
Suchana, you are so sweet! Considering that most of the East Germans were not allowed to leave the country until 1989 (except for those who 'served' it in a special way), I assume the owner of the land where your house was built on was a West German. But I am sure beautiful seeker-souls are everywhere in the world.:- )

P.S. Without Guru's tireless inner work here on earth I would have not been able to become a disciple of his and meet all the wonderful seeker-souls. I remember the year 1984! I watched a TV documentation by chance, perhaps only for three minutes. Guru was slowly walking around and some of his disciples were sitting on the floor meditating. I vividly remember that for a moment I thought how blessed those people were. At that time I had not heard anything about spirituality. May my gratitude to Guru increases...
